मूळचे सिव्हिल इंजिनीअर असलेले अनिल दातीर हे गेल्या ३७ वर्षांपासून 'वास्तू विशारद' (आर्किटेक्ट) म्हणून कार्यरत आहेत. विशेष म्हणजे, गेल्या १५ वर्षांपासून ते साताऱ्यात राहूनच अमेरिकेतील 'हॉलिडे इन, हिल्टन, हॅम्पटन, फेअरफिल्ड, कोर्टयार्ड मॅरियट, स्लीप इन, होम टू सुट्स, एसी हॉटेल्स, टाऊनप्लेस सुट्स, स्टुडिओ रेस' यांसारख्या जागतिक दर्जाच्या ब्रँड्सच्या हॉटेल इमारतींचे डिझाईन करत आहेत.

छंद व परदेश प्रवास:
कामाच्या व्यस्ततेसोबतच त्यांनी लेखनाची आवड जोपासली आहे. त्यांना निसर्गाची प्रचंड आवड असल्याने भटकंतीचे वेड आहे. आतापर्यंत त्यांनी पोलंड, हंगेरी, स्लोवाकिया, स्पेन, पोर्तुगाल, रशिया, नेदरलँड, जर्मनी, बेल्जियम, लक्झेंबर्ग, इजिप्त, सिंगापूर, कुवेत, दुबई, उझबेकिस्तान आणि व्हिएतनाम यांसह १० हून अधिक वेळा परदेश प्रवास केला आहे. या सर्व परदेश प्रवासांच्या आठवणी 'परदेशातल्या पाऊलखुणा' या पुस्तकातून ग्रंथबद्ध करण्यात आल्या आहेत.

देशांतर्गत प्रवास:
देशांतर्गतही त्यांनी अंदमान, उटी, गोवा, कोकण, अलेप्पी, केरळ, चेन्नई, कोईम्बतूर, कर्नाटक, धुळे, जळगाव, नाशिक, मुंबई, नागपूर, हैदराबाद, कोलकाता, दिल्ली, वेरूळ-अजंठा आणि जम्मू-काश्मीरसह अनेक ऐतिहासिक व निसर्गरम्य ठिकाणांना भेटी दिल्या असून, या प्रवासाची वर्णनेही लिखित स्वरूपात उपलब्ध आहेत.

साहित्यिक व लेखन कार्य:
फेसबुक लेखन: त्यांचे बहुतांशी लेखन फेसबुकसाठी व त्यावरच उपलब्ध आहे. सामाजिक, राजकीय, प्रासंगिक आणि विडंबन यांसारख्या विविध विषयांवर ते अतिशय परखडपणे भाष्य करतात.

प्रकाशित साहित्य: 'परदेशातल्या पाऊलखुणा' हे त्यांचे एकमेव पुस्तक प्रकाशित झाले असून, याशिवाय त्यांनी फेसबुकसाठी १२ ग्रामीण कथा, १ लघुकथा आणि काही कवितांचे लेखन केले आहे.

डिजिटल व इतर माध्यम: 'बुक्सट्रॅक' या डिजिटल प्लॅटफॉर्मवर त्यांची अनेक प्रवासवर्णने आणि कथा प्रकाशित झाल्या आहेत. तसेच सातारा आकाशवाणी केंद्रावरून त्यांनी स्वतःच्या दोन कथांचे वाचन केले आहे. त्यांचे विविध लेख स्थानिक दैनिके आणि दिवाळी अंकांमधून नियमितपणे प्रकाशित होत असतात.

A Civil Engineer by training, Anil Datir has spent the last 37 years mastering the craft of architecture. For the past 15 years, he has been operating from Satara, designing world-class hotel buildings for global hospitality brands, including Holiday Inn, Hilton, Hampton, Fairfield, Courtyard by Marriott, Sleep Inn, Home2 Suites, AC Hotels, TownePlace Suites, and Studio 6.

Passion for Travel & Exploration
Anil’s creative drive extends beyond architecture into the world of writing. A true nature enthusiast, his wanderlust has led him across the globe. He has traveled to over 15 countries—including Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, Portugal, Russia, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Egypt, Singapore, Kuwait, Dubai, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. His global experiences are captured in his published travelogue, "Pardeshatlya Paulkhuna" (Footprints Abroad).

His exploration of India is equally extensive. From the serenity of Andaman and the backwaters of Alleppey to the vibrant landscapes of Jammu & Kashmir and the historic marvels of Ajanta-Ellora, his travels across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and beyond have been meticulously documented.

Anil is a prolific writer, primarily sharing his work with a vast community on Facebook. His writing is known for its candid, sharp, and insightful nature, spanning social, political, and satirical subjects. His columns frequently appear in local dailies and Diwali special editions.

Published Work: The travelogue “Pardeshatlya Paulkhuna.”

Creative Writing: He has authored 12 rural-themed stories, a novella, and numerous poems, primarily for his digital readership.
